INTRODUCTION TO DISTRIBUTED SYSTEM
A distributed system is a collection of independent computers that appear to its users as a single coherent system. These computers are geographically separated and communicate with each other through a network.
Distributed systems are designed to handle large workloads and provide high availability. They can be used for a variety of purposes, such as:
- Running large-scale applications, such as social media platforms or e-commerce websites
- Processing large amounts of data, such as in scientific computing or big data analytics
- Providing fault tolerance, so that the system can continue to operate even if some of its components fail
