REQUIREMENT: PACKET TRACER TOOL
THEORY:
WRITE ABOUT LAN .
PC0
Click on PC0
Goto Desktop
Click IP Configuration
Set IP Address as 10.0.0.8
Subnet Mask: 255.0.0.0
PC1
Click on PC1
Goto Desktop
Click IP Configuration
Set IP Address as 10.0.0.9
Subnet Mask: 255.0.0.0
GOTO COMMAND PROMPT AND PING PC1
TYPE: PING 10.0.0.9
SIMILARLY GO TO PC1 AND PING PC0
ACTIVITY :
- Add two more PCs to the same LAN. Assign one PC2 with IP =10.0.0.10 and PC3 with IP=100.0.0.2.
- Ping from PC0 to PC2. What did you observe?
- Ping from PC0 to PC3. What did you observe?
2. Replace and Switch with Router in above diagram and observe ping from one PC to another again and write the observation.
